Oil Pastel on Paper

| Since 1987
I have been creating oil pastels on Arches 38.5" x 50" paper.
I have some on smaller Arches 26" x 40.5" paper. I have perfected
a technique where I build up layers of oil pastel and carve down
to layers below creating interesting graphics and textures. As
a final step the layers are fused together and sealed. The pieces
can be grouped together to create larger compositions. I have
many completed works, both framed and unframed and also work on
a commission basis.
These pieces are very labor intensive, and are also relatively
rare among my output of work. Please inquire
regarding availability and pricing.
These are the original "one of a kind" oil pastels, which are the masters for my series of giclee prints and enhanced prints, where I hand color and collage layers of detail over the prints, creating unique mixed media on paper variants. [Click on images to view enlargements] |
