For Clayton Valley Presbyterian, the design for the chancel area became an ensemble of related pieces, all designed to respond to the shapes, angles and materials of the architecture. The hand-blown stained glass features large beveled glass prisms. The bas-relief wood and glass wall sculpture, which incorporates a glass mosaic cross, was built of maple, walnut and oak, with gilded glass inlay. It acts as a sound diffuser screen. The furniture includes the pulpit, communion table, baptismal font and the choir's privacy screen. These are constructed of maple and walnut with gilded glass inlay. |
